BIO
Hank Fuseler is a self-taught artist born in Columbia, SC in 1975. He attended the University of South Carolina majoring in English and History. While experimenting with photography he performed volunteer work for Gallery 701 in Columbia from 1998-1999. During this period he began to paint under the influence of Aiken, SC artist Hollis Brown Thornton. Subsequently, he moved to the New Jersey shore where he acquired his first studio. Upon returning to Columbia at the end of 2000 he gradually began to exhibit work professionally, continuing to benefit from Thornton's mentoring while gleaning as much as possible from the area art scene. Since then he has executed nine one-man shows and participated in numerous group exhibits. Additionally, he has produced art shows and completed two outdoor murals. Fuseler moved to Asheville, NC in 2005 and now shows work in North and South Carolina. His paintings are in collections throughout the U.S.
